Does VoiceOI work with Telnyx?
Yes, as a SIP carrier. You add a Telnyx SIP trunk in the VoiceOI Carrier Manager the same way you would add any SIP carrier, and your bots dial through it.
Bring your Telnyx SIP trunk to VoiceOI: set up the connection in your Telnyx account, paste its settings into the Carrier Manager, and your outbound AI voice bots dial through it, qualifying leads and transferring the ones who qualify to your closers. Telnyx bills the minutes; VoiceOI bills per bot.
These steps follow Telnyx's own setup guide, reviewed October 2026. If a label in the Telnyx portal differs, Telnyx's docs are the authority.

Add a SIP connection and choose how Telnyx authenticates your traffic: credentials (a username and password Telnyx generates), IP address or FQDN. Telnyx suggests credentials for endpoints without a static public IP, and IP authentication only where the address is stable, so credentials are the simpler choice here. While you're in the connection, set its channel limit high enough for the number of bots you plan to run at once.
In Telnyx
Telnyx needs an Outbound Voice Profile on the connection before it places outbound calls; without one, calls fail with response code D38 or D7. While you are there, limit allowed destinations to the places you call and set a maximum destination rate and a daily spend limit.
In Telnyx
Purchase a Telnyx number, then open the connection's Outbound Options and paste the number into the Caller ID Override field.

Telnyx's Asterisk guide converts dialed numbers to E.164 with a leading plus before sending them to Telnyx (+1 and ten digits for a US number). Your carrier settings should do the same.

In VoiceOI
Add the trunk as a sip.conf or pjsip.conf block in the Carrier Manager, pointing at Telnyx's SIP server (sip.telnyx.com) with the authentication you chose. If you already run it on VICIdial, copy the same carrier settings. Save the carrier when the block is in place.

Design the call flow in the no-code voice bot builder and try it in the simulator before it dials real leads.
In VoiceOI
Start a campaign with a one-row CSV holding your own number, then check the call log and review the recording and transcript.
In VoiceOI
Load your leads, set pacing and calling windows, and start the real campaign. How transfers to closers work is covered below.
Pick a bot that follows your script exactly, or an AI agent that works inside your rules.
When a machine answers, the bot hangs up and logs the call as AM, so bots only talk to people. VoiceOI does not leave voicemails.
Do-not-call requests end the call; an optional TCPA AI-voice disclosure and timezone-aware calling windows are built in.
Fronter and closer bots hand qualified callers to your closers over SIP with AI-written notes, using your routing rules.

A Telnyx setup has two separate bills. Telnyx bills minutes and numbers to your own Telnyx account: its US Elastic SIP Trunking price list shows outbound local calls starting at $0.005 a minute and local numbers at $1.00 a month. Your real rate depends on where you call, so check the price list for your destinations.
VoiceOI bills per bot, prepaid, with no per-minute AI fee on top of Telnyx's minutes. Bots are priced per bot per month by tier: Hosted SIP tiers list from $45 to $155 and VICIdial / Asterisk tiers from $25 to $135, before volume discounts of up to 60%. Your bot count, not your minutes, sets the VoiceOI bill; the pricing page shows the tier that fits your setup. See AI voice bot pricing for every tier, and the SIP trunk selection guide for what to check with any carrier before you move traffic.

Paste the Telnyx settings into the Carrier Manager, build a bot without code and test it before it dials your leads.
Common questions about running VoiceOI bots on Telnyx.
Yes, as a SIP carrier. You add a Telnyx SIP trunk in the VoiceOI Carrier Manager the same way you would add any SIP carrier, and your bots dial through it.
Create the SIP connection and its Outbound Voice Profile in your Telnyx account, then paste the carrier settings as a sip.conf or pjsip.conf block into the Carrier Manager. If you already run the trunk on VICIdial, you can copy the same carrier settings.
Everything they do on any carrier: run your script as a recorded-voice bot or AI agent, detect answering machines, end the call on do-not-call requests and, with fronter and closer bots, transfer qualified leads live to human closers over SIP with AI-written notes.
No per-minute AI fee. VoiceOI is billed per bot, prepaid. Bots are priced per bot per month by tier: Hosted SIP tiers list from $45 to $155 and VICIdial / Asterisk tiers from $25 to $135; the pricing page shows which applies to your setup. Your carrier minutes are billed by Telnyx.
Telnyx uses those response codes when no Outbound Voice Profile is assigned to the connection. Attach one in the Telnyx portal, then place your test call again.
Telnyx says a 403 on outbound calls usually means the connection hit its channel limit. Set the limit high enough for the number of bots you plan to run at once.
