AI Dialer Cost: Per-Seat vs Per-Bot Pricing

AI dialer cost depends on which kind of AI dialer you are buying. Dialers that help human reps are priced per user per month: one vendor guide (MightyCall, July 2026) puts auto-dialer software at $40 to $75 or more per user per month, and other vendors list add-ons from about €15 per user. AI voice bots that place and handle the calls themselves are priced per bot. VoiceOI is the second kind: $25 to $155 per bot per month at list price, volume discounts up to 60%, and carrier minutes billed separately by your carrier.

The Two Meanings of AI Dialer, and How Each Is Priced

Search results for “AI dialer” mix two different products. They are bought differently and billed differently, so compare like with like.

Published AI Dialer Prices From Vendors

These are prices the vendors publish for dialers that human reps use, taken from their own pages in October 2026. They are not VoiceOI prices and are not like-for-like with a bot bill; they show the per-seat range a per-bot price is usually compared against.

More Per-User Prices From One Vendor Guide

MightyCall's July 2026 guide compares nine auto dialer products. These are the per-user monthly prices it gives for the vendors that list a number. It adds that a starting price is not the same as the total monthly cost, and that Nextiva and Dialpad dialer plan details are unclear and Kixie is custom-quoted.

VendorPer user per month in the guideFeatures the guide notes
MightyCall$54 to $65Auto dialer, call routing, recording
JustCall$49Power dialer, SMS, CRM integrations
CloudTalk$49Power dialing, queue callback

Two cautions apply to every row. First, a per-seat price pays for software that a person works; it does not include the rep's time. Second, add-ons, seat minimums and usage charges move the total, which is exactly what MightyCall's guide warns about. Ask each vendor for the all-in monthly figure for your team size.

VoiceOI Per-Bot Pricing for Fronter Bots

VoiceOI bills prepaid per bot per month. List prices run from $25 for a simple fronter to $155 for the highest closer tier, depending on bot class and whether the bot connects through VICIdial or Asterisk or through hosted SIP. Volume discounts of up to 60% apply to every tier, and no tier ever drops below its floor price. The table shows the fronter tiers, which are the ones that replace first-contact dialing work.

VoiceOI fronter bot list price and price floor per bot per month
TierConnectionList price per botPrice floorIncludes
VICIdial Simple FronterVICIdial / Asterisk$25$18Basic filtering, No Closer comments, Live Transfers, Connects to VICIdial / Asterisk
VICIdial Good FronterVICIdial / Asterisk$35$22Verifies Age/Zip, Leaves comments for Closer, Live Transfers, Connects to VICIdial / Asterisk
SIP Simple FronterHosted SIP$45$28Basic filtering, No Closer comments, Live Transfers, Dedicated Switch
SIP Good FronterHosted SIP$55$34Verifies Age/Zip, Leaves comments for Closer, Live Transfers, Dedicated Switch

Fronter bots qualify leads and transfer them live. The Good Fronter tiers also verify age and ZIP and leave comments for the closer. Lead-gen (LG) and closer tiers, the full discount schedule and the voice engine options (Included at no extra cost for Standard; 2 Workers Free (then $15/worker) for Advanced) are listed on the VoiceOI pricing page and in the AI voice agent pricing comparison.

Seat Math: What Bots Cost When They Act as Fronters

A fronter is the first-contact caller who qualifies a lead before a closer takes it. When bots do that job, you buy bots instead of fronter seats, and the closers stay human. This table prices a fronter bot fleet from the published list prices and discounts above.

Monthly cost of fronter bots at three fleet sizes, before carrier charges
Fleet sizeDiscount tierVICIdial Good FronterSIP Good Fronter
5 botsStandard Rate (1-9 Seats)$35 per bot, $175 a month$55 per bot, $275 a month
20 bots15% Off (10-49 Seats)$29.75 per bot, $595 a month$46.75 per bot, $935 a month
60 bots30% Off (50-99 Seats)$24.50 per bot, $1,470 a month$38.50 per bot, $2,310 a month

For scale, 20 per-seat dialer licenses at MightyCall's $40 to $75 per user range come to $800 to $1,500 a month for the software alone. 20 VICIdial Good Fronter bots are $595 and 20 SIP Good Fronter bots are $935. These are not seat-for-seat equivalents: a dialer license equips a person to make calls, while a bot makes the first-contact call itself and hands qualified people to a closer over SIP with AI-written notes. Compare the full cost of each setup, including labor. See AI fronter for call centers and AI live transfer for how the handoff works.

Worked Example: How Many Fronter Seats Do the Bots Replace?

The inputs below are assumptions for illustration, not benchmarks. Measure the real numbers in a pilot.

  1. Your floor needs 600 qualified transfers to closers a month.
  2. If a human fronter produces 20 transfers a month, that takes 30 fronter seats.
  3. If one bot produces 30 transfers a month, that takes 20 bots.
  4. 20 SIP Good Fronter bots cost $935 a month at the 15% Off (10-49 Seats) bots discount tier, which is $1.56 of AI cost per transfer before carrier minutes and closers.
  5. For the human side, put your fully loaded monthly cost per fronter seat (pay, benefits, software, supervision) against the same transfer count, and compare the cost per transfer. If bots produce fewer transfers per month than your fronters, you need more of them; if they produce more, fewer.

Already on VICIdial? Add AI Bots Without Replacing the Dialer

If your floor already runs VICIdial, you do not have to buy another dialer to add AI. VoiceOI bots appear in VICIdial as remote agents. VICIdial keeps your campaigns, lists, recycling and reports, you can provision many bots at once, and each call's outcome is written back to VICIdial as a disposition. Qualified calls transfer to your human closers.

The VICIdial tiers start at $25 per bot per month at list price, and the volume discounts above apply. Your cost lines are the bots, your carrier minutes, and the closers; there is no second dialer to license. See VICIdial AI voice bot and VICIdial AI integration for how the remote-agent setup works. For the cost of running VICIdial itself, see how much VICIdial costs.

What Drives the Total Cost of an AI Dialer

  • Seats or bots. Per-seat dialers scale with headcount; per-bot pricing scales with the concurrent calls you want live.
  • Tier or dialing mode. Rep dialers charge extra for faster dialing modes; bots are priced by class and connection, from fronter to closer.
  • Volume discount. VoiceOI discounts start at 10 bots and reach 60% at 250 or more, never below a tier's floor.
  • Carrier minutes. Billed by your carrier on top of any AI dialer. Bring your own SIP carrier, including Twilio or Telnyx trunks.
  • Utilization. You pay for each bot every month whether or not it is on a call, so a lightly used bot costs more per connected minute. Size the fleet to the calls you can keep live.
  • Phone numbers and caller ID. Numbers and caller ID come from your carrier, not from the bot price, and rep dialers differ on whether numbers are included. Ask each vendor.
  • Setup and onboarding. Vendors differ on setup fees and seat minimums (CloudTalk lists a 3-license minimum on Expert; Orum mentions a 9-seat minimum). Ask VoiceOI sales what setup terms apply to your fleet size.
  • Humans downstream. Closers who take transferred calls cost the same whichever dialer finds the lead.
  • Compliance work. Consent collection, list hygiene and legal review are yours; the product supplies answering-machine detection, do-not-call phrase handling and an optional AI-voice disclosure.

Consent is a cost too: since the FCC's February 2024 ruling, AI-generated voices count as “artificial” voices under the TCPA, so telemarketing calls need prior express written consent, and compliance stays with you. See the TCPA controls VoiceOI provides. This is not legal advice.

What VoiceOI does not do

VoiceOI is outbound only. It does not take inbound calls, send SMS, book calendars, sync to a CRM, or pace calls for human reps with predictive, power or parallel dialing. Its answering-machine detection ends the call rather than leaving a message. See answering machine detection for call centers.

AI Dialer Cost FAQs

Quick answers on per-seat and per-bot dialer pricing.

How much does an AI dialer cost?

It depends on which kind you mean. Dialers that help human reps are priced per user per month: MightyCall's July 2026 guide puts auto-dialer software at $40 to $75 or more per user per month, and CloudTalk lists a power dialer add-on from €15 per user per month and a parallel dialer add-on at €39. An AI voice agent that makes the calls itself is priced differently. VoiceOI charges per bot, from $25 to $155 per bot per month at list price, with volume discounts up to 60%.

Is an AI dialer priced per user or per bot?

Dialers that a person operates are priced per user, because each rep needs a seat. AI voice bots are priced per bot, because each bot is a concurrent call slot that works without a rep behind it. Carrier or calling-plan costs differ by vendor; some dialers bundle US calling and others bill it separately, so ask what the headline price leaves out. VoiceOI bots do not include carrier minutes.

Does VoiceOI replace my VICIdial dialer?

No. On VICIdial, VoiceOI bots appear as remote agents, so VICIdial keeps running your campaigns, lists, recycling and reports. Bots can be provisioned in bulk and their outcomes are written back to VICIdial as dispositions. VoiceOI also has a built-in dialer for bot campaigns if you are not on VICIdial.

Does VoiceOI do predictive, power or parallel dialing for human reps?

No. VoiceOI is not a dialer that paces calls for human reps. Its bots place and handle the first-contact call, then transfer qualified people to a human closer. If you need predictive or parallel dialing for a team of reps, use a rep dialer such as VICIdial or a per-seat product, and run VoiceOI bots alongside it if you want AI fronters.

Are carrier minutes included in the per-bot price?

No. The per-bot price covers the AI side of the call, with no per-minute AI fee. Your carrier bills the minutes of every call, whether you use a Twilio or Telnyx SIP trunk, another SIP carrier, or the carriers behind your VICIdial setup. Treat carrier cost as its own line when you budget.

Can the bots leave voicemails?

No. VoiceOI detects answering machines and ends the call, logging it as a voicemail outcome, so closers do not receive a machine. It does not leave a message after the beep.

What consent do I need for AI dialer calls?

For telemarketing calls made with an AI-generated voice, prior express written consent. The FCC's February 2024 ruling treats AI-generated voices as artificial voices under the TCPA. VoiceOI provides do-not-call phrase handling, an optional AI-voice disclosure and timezone windows, but compliance is the customer's responsibility and this is not legal advice.
